PERUCO

Pedro Patiño, known as “Peruco,” is a 22-year-old with a hidden passion for soccer, one that only his grandfather could truly understand. One afternoon in February 1948, his best friend discovers a notebook containing information about the chulavitas from the old Caldas region leading to his disappearance. Defying the most powerful politician in the growing city of Pereira, Peruco uncovers those responsible for the wave of violence that swept the region and unites two radically opposed political parties to play soccer on the same team, which would later become the squad representing a city called La Perla del Otún.
